4L60E SHIFT KIT LABOR TIME PROFESSIONAL
We feel these are by far the best clutch on the market and most professional builders around the country agree with us! Don't cheap out on Alto graphite frictions when you can run the Borg Hi-Energy's at a great value. While we like to use the A-Pack in our 3-4 drum, our custom kit includes Borg Warner High Energy Frictions/Clutches for everything else. If the extra wide band is unavailable, we will replace it with the stock width high performance, Red Eagle lined band.**

They have been trickling into our shop here and there but delivery has been very inconsistent. We run this band in every one of our builds! **Note: Alto has been having issues manufacturing the extra wide Red Eagle band. It will provide much more holding power in second and fourth gear. It is extra wide compared to the stock band and features Alto's Red Eagle friction material. Another feature of our Stage 5 kit is the 2-4 intermediate band. We have seen MUCH better results with this exact kit over the Raybestos Z-Pak. You will get double to holding power in the 3-4 drum with its dual clutch design. The A-Pack included in this kit is made by Alto, and provides much needed strength in that drum. 90% of failed 4L60's are due to a fried 3-4 drum. This kit addresses many issues with the 4L60e including the weak 3-4 clutch pack. This is a brand new Stage 5 transmission rebuild kit for 2004-Up 4L60e and 4L65e transmissions. (6) External Splined Red Eagle® Frictions (6) Internal Splined Red Eagle® Frictions WE WERE HAVING ISSUES WITH THE RAYBESTOS KIT AND FOUND THE A-PACK TO BE THE BETTER SOLUTION. ***THIS KIT NOW COMES WITH THE ALTO A-PACK INSTEAD OF THE RAYBESTOS Z-PAK.

(1) Alto Red Eagle Intermediate 2-4 High Performance Band (1) 3-4 Alto A-Pack Extreme Duty Dual Clutch Kit Any guidance is greatly appreciated, My next attempt to fix will probably be replacing the solenoid wiring harness or replacing the 1-2 accumulator springs to the stock ones.(1) Borg Warner Hi-Energy Friction Module I ended up buying a corrected valve body with the sonnax tcc regulator valve fix thinking that would be the issue and threw it in the and to my surprise the harsh shift came back 30-40 miles after… Only codes I have in it are P0332, P0327(knock sensors) and a non confirmed P0748 (transmission fluid pressure solenoid - Electrical).

I then read that maybe it is the throttle position sensor but dismissed that when I plugged my obd II reader in and watched the throttle position and saw that it was working fine (Same thing with the MAF sensor). I was excited to try her out again only to find it still does the same thing. I started off by dropping the pan and replacing the epc solenoid and did a fluid and filter change at the same time. It does have a shift kit installed in it but the previous owner says that it shifted smooth/normally right after installation and started to shift hard when he attempted to drive from California to North Dakota. I bought it knowing it had this issue and got a decent deal because of it but I am now a little bit challenged on what may be actually causing the harsh shift… The transmission was rebuilt and only has about 20,000 miles on it so I thought I would be safe from finding any major damage this early after a rebuild. Not a swap so delete this is if it’s not acceptable… Looking for help/ a point in the right direction on my 01 silverado with a harsh shift It shifts hardest from 1st to second and then shifts smoother every shift after that and if I pull over and shut it down for a few minutes it shifts smooth for the rest of the drive and comes back the next time I drive it.
